Effect of the Various Amount of Vitamin E on the Fat Storing Cell of the Mouse Liver

Abstract
The histological studies were attempted to detect the origination of the fat droplets appearing within the fat storing cell of mice treated with vitamin E, fed with vitamin E deficient diet, and fed with standard diet for the purpose of vitamin E supplmentation after inducing vitamin E deficient state and to observe the morphological changes in the liver tissues.
The result obtained are summerized as follows:
1. The increasing amount of vitamin E administration induces the gradual increase either number of fat storing cell or the amount of fat droplets within the cell.
2. The deficiency of vitamin E induces the decrease either number of fat storing cell containing fat droplets or the amount of containing fat droplets itself
3. The decrease of the number of the fat storing cells and the amount of fat droplets within the cells induced by feeding with vitamin deficient diets seemed to be gradually prevented by the feeding with standard diet.
4. The administration of vitamin E seems inducing the hypertrophy of the hepatocytes and their nuclei.
5. Vitamin E deficiency induces the congestion of the portal vein and periportal infiltration of lymphocytes.
6. The lesions of the liver tissue induced due to deficiency of vitamin E seemed to be gradually prevented by the feeding of the standard diet.
